March and March founder Jacinta Ngobese-Zuma has distanced her movement from violence. March and March is one of the movements in the forefront of protests against undocumented foreign nationals.

In his speech on the issue on Sunday night, President Cyril Ramaphosa said the government will not allow anyone to exploit the problem to destabilize the country.

Ngobese-Zuma says she does not understand which part of their marches was violent.

“How are we marching with the police there, in public, with videos and cameras and media following us, but you are claiming that we are being violent? There have been separate incidents that have nothing to do with March and March, and they attribute that to us. Yet with every incident that we’ve had, we’ve maintained peace; we’ve maintained order.’
